CorePharma in Middlesex, N.J., along with other pharmaceutical companies Amedra Pharmaceuticals and Lineage Therapeutics Inc., both of Horsham, Pa., have been sold in a deal worth $700 million, completed on March 10. Private equity firm RoundTable Healthcare Partners, of Lake Forest, Ill., announced in October 2014 it was selling its pharmaceutical holdings division Tower Holdings Inc., also of Horsham, to Hayward, Calif.-based specialty drug maker Impax Laboratories Inc., which is the parent company of CorePharma and the others. Impax was advised by teams from Sullivan & Cromwell, Latham & Watkins, and McDermott Will & Emery, while Tower was represented by Sidley Austin.
Brand Aromatics Sold for $63M
McCormick & Co. of Baltimore, Md., announced on March 9 it has paid about $63 million cash to acquire fellow food flavoring company Brand Aromatics, of Lakewood, N.J.
