A federal judge in Newark has denied a motion by Deloitte Consulting to dismiss a suit claiming it improperly recruited employees and obtained proprietary information from competitor Booz Allen Hamilton.
Booz Allen filed suit in 2013 after eight employees of the Instructional Development and Immersive Learning (IDIL) team in its Red Bank office left to join Deloitte. The suit claims Deloitte solicited proprietary and confidential Booz Allen information and used it to recruit Booz Allen employees and to target its existing and prospective clients.
