Albert Burstein, of the Hackensack office of Archer & Greiner, is 92 years old and still practicing. Al received the Chevalier of the Legion of Honor for his bravery on the battlefield as a soldier fighting the Germans on French territory during World War II.

Al was a member of the New Jersey General Assembly for 10 years and served as chairman of the Assembly Education Committee and a term as majority leader. He has served on numerous other committees and commissions, including as the commissioner of the Election Law Enforcement Commission, and a member of the Election Law Revision Committee, the Capital Budgeting and Planning Commission, and the Public Employees Relations Study Commission. In addition, Al is a former chairman of the State Commission of Investigation Review Committee, the New Jersey Law Revision Commission and the Bergen County IIB South District Ethics Committee, as well as a former member of the Law Journal’s editorial board.
