While federal prosecutors have indicated they don’t anticipate more indictments directly related to the September 2013 closure of local access lanes to the George Washington Bridge, the reported state and federal investigations into former Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Chairman David Samson appear to be ongoing, and their outcome may hinge on how cooperative one recently indicted ex-Port Authority official decides to be.
During a May 1 press conference regarding the indictments in the so-called Bridgegate scandal, U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman of the District of New Jersey was asked specifically about Samson, but he declined to comment.
