Two Hudson County corrections officers injured when their van was struck by a New Jersey Transit bus settled for a total of $2.25 million April 21 in Good v. Castro.

In March 2013, the officers, Gary Good and Julio Camacho, were traveling eastbound on Pavonia Avenue in Jersey City near Summit Avenue, on their way to pick up a prisoner in New York. The bus driver, Miguel Castro, was headed in the opposite direction on Pavonia Avenue and crossed the double-yellow line to go around a double-parked vehicle, according to the plaintiffs’ attorney, Christopher Musmanno of Einhorn Harris Ascher Barbarito & Frost in Denville.
