Though individual performance has varied greatly, a majority of New Jersey’s largest homegrown firms took steps back in gross revenue and attorney head count last fiscal year, and a few are even behind where they were five years ago.

The 16 New Jersey-based firms included in the Law Journal’s most recent Top 20 survey posted a combined total 2014 gross revenue of $1.41 billion, which represents a 0.8 percent decrease from those firms’ collective earnings the prior year. More than half (nine) posted revenue declines for 2014.
