Two New Jersey firms have petitioned a bankruptcy judge to revoke the pro hac vice admission of a California lawyer who they claim concealed monetary sanctions and ethics investigations in his home state when he filed his application.

McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter and Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti on May 27 filed a motion in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey seeking to oust from the matter Jeffrey Garfinkle of Buchalter Nemer in Irivine, California.
