Though nationwide lawyer head count was essentially flat last year, many New Jersey firms still lost ground in a ranking of the most populous firms in the United States.
The 147,518 total attorneys staffed at the 350 largest firms in 2014 was just 900 more than the prior year, representing a 0.6 percent increase, according to sibling publication the National Law Journal.
