On May 14, the Middlesex County Bar Foundation honored the winners of the 15th annual Project Law Essay Contest for Middlesex County High School students. The event was held at the Middlesex County Superior Court in New Brunswick. This year’s winners were Isabel Li and Parshv Shah from John P. Stevens High School, and Atul Bhattiprolu from the Middlesex County Academy for Allied Health and Biomedical Sciences. The Project Law Essay Contest’s basic objectives are to help high school students to develop and refine their writing and communication skills, to help them gain a better understanding of our legal system and their rights and responsibilities as citizens, and to encourage them to seek higher education. Students were asked to write a persuasive essay on Publicity Rights and the First Amendment. Shown, from left to right: Parshv Shah, Isabel Li and Atul Bhattiprolu.
