Gov. Chris Christie’s top legal adviser, Christopher Porrino, is headed back to his former firm, while a partner at another of New Jersey’s largest firms is set to take his place.

Porrino, after a year and a half as Christie’s chief counsel and more than three years working for the state, will rejoin Roseland-based Lowenstein Sandler after July 31. There he will co-chair the firm’s litigation practice.
