The New Jersey State Bar Association’s leadership approved a $12 million budget for the 2016 fiscal year that provides members free continuing legal education courses, an electronic version of New Jersey Lawyer Magazine, dues-free memberships for first-year lawyers and a half-price dues for second-year attorneys, among other perks.

“More than 18,000 lawyers, judges and other legal professionals cannot be wrong. They have all made the decision to belong to the NJSBA. They understand that it is and always has been the right thing to do,” said NJSBA President Miles S. Winder III. “Our new budget plan rewards members with greater values—all while ensuring the NJSBA maintains a strong fiscal position and engaging new lawyers, who are the lifeblood of the association, to get involved. I commend the Board of Trustees for its foresight.”
