Kason Corp. of Millburn, which makes screening, sifting and fluid-bed processing equipment, purchased Kek-Gardner Ltd., a maker of sifting, mixing and size reduction equipment based in Cheshire, England, it was announced Sept. 21. Terms were not disclosed. According to Kason, it is now the world’s largest manufacturer of centrifugal sifting equipment, a release said.
Millville Glass Company Acquired
Duran Group, a German manufacturer of laboratory glass, and One Equity Partners OEP Capital Advisors acquired a local glass manufacturer, Millville-based Wheaton Industries. The agreement was signed Sept. 15. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Duran focuses more on reusable equipment, according to a release, and Wheaton focuses more on disposable equipment.
