Bridgegate criminal defendants Bridget Kelly and William Baroni have complained to a federal judge that the state government and federal prosecutors are holding back discovery in their case.
Kelly and Baroni claim in court documents that the government has failed to produce exculpatory evidence in the case, and that those actions could make it impossible for them to defend themselves. The defendants say they’re getting cut out of critical information that the governor’s office withheld based on dubious assertions of the deliberative process privilege.
