Despite the continuing public animosity between Democrats who control the New Jersey Legislature and Republican Gov. Chris Christie, lawmakers did manage to enact several major pieces of legislation in 2015.
Still, many initiatives sought by Democrats, along with some that had unanimous or near-complete support from the Republican minority, were met with absolute or conditional vetoes by the governor, who continues to seek his party’s nomination for president next year.
