A federal judge in Camden has refused to consider an application by Telecom Labs Inc. seeking $59 million in attorney fees from Avaya Inc. until the applicant submits daily billing records for the lawyers who worked on the long-running antitrust case.

Telecom argued that production of its daily billing records would further prolong an already-protracted case. Telecom is seeking fees as a prevailing party after winning a $62 million antitrust judgment against Avaya in September 2014. An appeal of that award is pending before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Meanwhile, Avaya also disputes the fee application, arguing that the $59 million figure is excessive.
