Church and State…and Federal—The Morris County Board of Chosen Freeholders has removed a lawsuit against it over the allocation of taxpayer funds to federal court.

The Freedom From Religion Foundation’s suit alleges that the defendants, including the Morris County Preservation Trust Fund Review Board, unconstitutionally allocated taxpayer funds for the restoration of churches, contrary to the New Jersey Civil Rights Act, according to the notice of removal filed Jan. 12.
