A Tinton Falls man will receive $7.5 million as compensation in his suit, Alessi v. Newhaven Distribution Services, for injuries he received when the car in which he was riding struck a tractor-trailer that had jackknifed out of control.

Plaintiff Greg Alessi, now 25, reached settlement agreements with the carriers for defendants Newhaven Distribution Services, located in the Bronx, and his father, Phillip Alessi, the driver of the car in which he was a passenger, in December 2015, said Alessi’s attorney, Brian Drazin.
