Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey Soriano, who has faced sharp criticism for his office’s handling of the investigation into the 2014 deaths of prominent attorney John Sheridan and his wife, Joyce, has been ousted from his job.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s office announced Feb. 18 that Soriano, who has held the office since 2010, would be replaced by Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Robertson.
