Rowan U., Hospital Negotiate Land Deal
A 100-acre lot in Harrison Township may soon be the site of a new $350 million medical center for Inspira Health Network. Rowan University’s board of trustees said in a statement that it voted to move forward with a deal, authorizing Rowan’s administration to negotiate a letter of intent to sell the lot based on the appraised value. The proposed medical center, which will be located at Route 322 and Route 55, across from the South Jersey Technology Park, will be about 350,000 square feet with a bed count of less than 200. Rowan paid $10.1 million for the site.
