In a case where the client sought to recoup $800,000 in attorney fees already paid, and the firm sought to collect more than $1 million in fees still due and owing, an $81,000 judgment against the firm likely pleases no one.

But that result stands after the Appellate Division on Feb. 22 rejected appeals by both sides in the case, filed against now-defunct Robertson, Freilich, Bruno & Cohen in connection with an engagement that began more than a decade ago.
