Years after his first nomination languished, Superior Court Judge David Bauman is getting a second crack at New Jersey’s high court after Gov. Chris Christie once again put him forward.

Bauman, whose nomination Christie announced Feb. 29, would take the place of Mary Catherine Cuff, an Appellate Division judge who was temporarily assigned to the court to fill the vacancy left when Christie refused to nominate former Justice John Wallace Jr. for tenure.
