Morristown-based law firm Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti has added Carrie Zalewski to its commercial litigation group and Michael Kettler to its environmental group. Zalewski practices primarily in securities litigation and arbitration. She received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2010. She earned her B.A. in political science and English from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in 2007. Prior to joining Riker Danzig, she served as a law clerk to Superior Court of New Jersey Judge Travis Francis. Previously, she also worked as an analyst at Bloomberg and interned with FINRA in its Enforcement Division. Kettler joins Riker Danzig’s Environmental Group, and has experience in litigation and environmental counseling. Kettler received his J.D. degree from Columbia University School of Law in 2012. He earned his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, in philosophy, politics and economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 2009, where he was Phi Beta Kappa. Prior to joining Riker Danzig, Kettler was an associate at K&L Gates in New York.

Scarinci Hollenbeck Adds Counsel in Environmental Practice

Scarinci Hollenbeck in Lyndhurst has added Daniel McKillop as counsel in its environmental law practice. With more than 15 years of experience in the environmental field, McKillop has represented both corporate and individual clients in complex environmental litigation and regulatory proceedings. He has appeared before state and federal courts and environmental agencies in actions arising under numerous state and federal statutes, including the New Jersey Industrial Site Recovery Act, the Spill Compensation and Control Act, the federal Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act. Immediately before coming to Scarinci Hollenbeck, McKillop practiced in the environmental law and land use groups at a firm in Montvale. He is also a director of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Environmental Law Section, and serves on a variety of committees and boards, including the New Jersey Commerce and Industry Association’s Environmental Business Council Steering Committee and the New Jersey Law Journal Young Lawyers’ Advisory Board. He graduated cum laude from Pace University School of Law in 2001, where he earned certificates in both environmental law and international law. McKillop earned his bachelor’s degree in government and international studies from the University of Notre Dame.
