A New Jersey judge has consolidated pretrial discovery and motions in lawsuits filed by nine plaintiffs against two pharmaceutical companies alleging popular antipsychotic drug Abilify led them to engage in compulsive gambling.

Bergen County Superior Court Judge Brian Martinotti issued his consolidation order March 18. He said a motion by the plaintiffs to have the cases consolidated for trial was premature, but added that the plaintiffs could ask again for trial consolidation once discovery is complete.
