A woman who spent months hospitalized and in rehabilitation after being struck by a vehicle settled her Essex County suit, Askew v. Zachario, for $3.5 million March 9.

In October 2015, Anita Askew was walking near the intersection of South Orange Avenue and Dover Street in Newark when a motorist, Paul Zachario, turned left to enter a parking lot adjacent to Askew and struck her, according to her lawyer, Norman Hobbie of Hobbie, Corrigan & Bertucio in Eatontown.
