The onetime security czar at Atlantic City’s Tropicana, fired while the casino and resort was being overseen by former New Jersey Supreme Court Justice Gary Stein, has failed to revive his suit against Stein and gaming regulators.

The Appellate Division on April 11 made short work of an appeal by William Edwards, who claimed he was wrongfully terminated from his position as director of surveillance—a move that occurred while Stein was serving as a conservator at Tropicana in the wake of the casino’s licensure troubles.
