The New Jersey Senate Judiciary Committee on April 21 recommended approval of the nomination of attorney and state Sen. Peter Barnes III, D-Middlesex, to the state Superior Court, along with the tenure nominations of four sitting judges.

In addition to Barnes’ nomination, the committee advanced the tenure nominations of Judges Kenneth Domzalski of Burlington County, Donald Kessler of Essex County, Kimarie Rahill of Warren County and Douglas Hurd of Mercer County, without opposition. The full Senate is scheduled to vote on those nominations April 25.
