Public disclosure of a list of unindicted co-conspirators in the Bridgegate scandal is on hold pending a June 6 hearing before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, which agreed to hear an emergent appeal by a person named on the list who is seeking to block its publication.

But some lawyers said they doubted whether the John Doe petitioner can make a case that the release of the list would violate his due process rights. And a group of media companies intervening in the case claimed in a response filed May 16 that the unnamed petitioner failed to demonstrate that his due process rights were violated.
