The New Jersey Supreme Court on May 18 publicly reprimanded a Passaic County Superior Court judge for his behavior while assigned to the Family Part.
The court, in an order, agreed with the Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct that two of the three counts of misconduct filed against Judge Joseph Portelli should be dismissed, but said he should receive a reprimand “for the entirety of [his] conduct.”
