A federal judge in the Cleveland-based Northern District of Ohio has found a New Jersey attorney in contempt and issued an arrest warrant based on his informal advice to his brother about a case pending before the judge.

U.S. District Judge Dan Aaron Polster ordered issuance of a bench warrant for John McDermott Jr. June 9 after the Vernon attorney failed to appear before the judge as ordered.
