The New Jersey Senate Judiciary Committee on June 20 recommended the approval of Acting Attorney General Robert Lougy to become a Superior Court judge.
The committee, in a divided vote, also recommended tenure for a sitting Superior Court judge who faced criticism in a child-custody case after temporarily awarding custody of two children to a member of a crime family.
