Nagel Rice of Roseland has taken its malpractice insurance carrier to court in a dispute over its denial of coverage to the firm in a legal malpractice suit.

The firm filed suit against Allied World Insurance Co. over the company’s refusal to cover a malpractice complaint filed against the law firm by a former client. Allied World removed the coverage case to federal court in Newark on June 29 after Nagel Rice sued it in state Superior Court in Essex County on May 5.
