The federal judge hearing the Bridgegate criminal case has granted Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher’s motion to quash a subpoena by defense lawyers who sought to examine Gov. Chris Christie’s cellphone.

U.S. District Judge Susan Wigenton granted the motion made by Gibson Dunn on behalf of the governor’s office to quash the subpoena by defendants William Baroni Jr. and Bridget Anne Kelly. The subpoena requested the phone Christie was using at the time of the George Washington Bridge access lane closures in 2013, as well as phones, computers and tablets used by other members of the Christie administration during that period.
