An appeals court has refused to revive a case brought by universal bar admission advocates who wanted to make it easier for out-of-state lawyers to practice in New Jersey’s federal courts.

On Thursday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit upheld a Pennsylvania federal judge’s decision to toss a suit brought by the National Association for the Advancement of Multijurisdictional Practice (NAAMJP). The advocacy group seeks admission for lawyers to practice in all U.S. federal and state courts.
