A bicyclist whose leg was mangled when she was struck by a delivery truck was paid a $2 million settlement on July 7 in Silver v. Wendt.

In June 2015, Carolyn Silver was riding on New Dutch Lane in Fairfield, approaching a driveway in which a truck owned by Grove Foods Inc. of Fairfield was sitting, according to her attorney, Damon Vespi, who heads a Totowa firm.
