A New Jersey lawyer who represented a client in the business of mining for unclaimed funds held in judiciary coffers had an ethics case against him thrown out.

The New Jersey Supreme Court issued a July 22 order dismissing a formal complaint against Richard Tice of Watts, Tice & Skowronek in Flemington, who handled about a dozen matters for a friend and client charging customers a contingency fee to recover dormant funds from the Supreme Court Trust Fund Unit and other sources.
