Bad Publicity—Contrary to the old saying, there is such a thing, according to a New Jersey federal judge who recently declined to dismiss Fox News host Harris Faulkner’s claim that toy maker Hasbro Inc. violated her “right of publicity.”
The Harris Faulkner Hamster Doll created by Hasbro—bearing her name and appearance, part of the “Littlest Pet Shop” line—touched off the three-count complaint filed in 2014. Faulkner denied Hasbro authorization to use her name and likeness, but the company continued to use it on their website, the suit claims.
