McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter in Morristown hosted this year’s NJ LEEP (New Jersey Law and Education Empowerment Project) internship program with an outstanding group of students for a week of brief writing and oral argument preparation. Several attorneys and staff volunteered their time as speakers and two of the firm’s summer associates, Lauren Jackson and Parampreet Singh, dedicated their time as mentors, spending numerous hours working to train the would-be appellate lawyers. At the completion of the program, Judge C. Ian McLachlan (retired) presided over the moot court festivities. Joseph Coviello, McElroy Deutsch’s manager of legal recruiting and professional development, organized and followed to completion, a diverse and comprehensive schedule for the NJ LEEP students.
Lindabury Attorney Recognized as Certified Elder Law Attorney
Elizabeth Manzo, a partner at Westfield-based Lindabury, McCormick, Estabrook & Cooper, has officially become a certified elder law attorney, recognized by the National Elder Law Foundation. The National Elder Law Foundation is the only organization approved by the American Bar Association to offer certification in the area of elder law. Manzo concentrates her practice in elder law, Medicaid and long-term care planning, special-needs trusts, wills, guardianships, estate planning and litigation, ERISA and employee benefits law.
