U.S. Sen. Cory Booker attempted to bring up the confirmation of New Jersey’s languishing federal judge nominee, Julien Neals, for a vote by unanimous consent Tuesday. But the proposal was derailed by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
Booker, speaking on the Senate floor, asked for unanimous consent for the Senate to proceed to executive session to consider the nominations of Neals and six other U.S. District Court nominees who have been waiting the longest for a vote.
