A team of more than 80 people, organized by Greenberg Traurig in Florham Park participated in the New Jersey 5K Corporate FunRun July 26, which raised money for Tackle Kids Cancer. The event was held at South Mountain Recreation Complex and McCloone’s Boathouse in West Orange. During an awards ceremony after the race, the firm was recognized for having the largest team with 83 overall participants. In addition, New Jersey shareholder William Stroever won the men’s category and the overall race, and New Jersey shareholders Barry Schindler, Stroever and David Freylikhman won honors for the top men’s team. Tackle Kids Cancer is an initiative started by The Children’s Cancer Institute at Hackensack University Medical Center. Donations to Tackle Kids Cancer benefit the essential clinical care, unique support services, and ground-breaking cancer research needed to find a cure.
Blank Rome’s Bruno Appointed to Leadership Roles in ABA’s Section of Litigation
Kevin Bruno, a partner with Blank Rome in Princeton, has been selected to serve two leadership appointments with the American Bar Association’s Section of Litigation for the 2016-17 term. Bruno will serve as co-chair of the ABA Section of Litigation’s newly combined Environmental and Energy Litigation Committee, and as the Section of Litigation’s liaison to the ABA’s Section of Environment, Energy and Resources Section, Division and Forum Coordination Team, formerly known as the ABA Standing Committee on Environmental Law. At Blank Rome, Bruno chairs the firm’s insurance coverage practice group, and previously chaired the firm’s environmental, energy, and natural resources practice group. He is also an adjunct professor of environmental law at the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken.
