Gibbons in Newark brings on board Steven Sanders, who has joined the firm as a director in the criminal defense department. He was the deputy chief of the Appeals Division in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey, where he served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for nearly 10 years. He concentrates his practice on white-collar, appellate, and complex commercial litigation. Sanders earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Brooklyn Law Review, and his B.A. from Union College. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York; the U.S. District Courts for the District of New Jersey and Eastern and Southern Districts of New York; the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits; and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Ringler Opens New Law Office

Kim Ringler has re-established her private practice, the Ringler Law Firm, after leaving public service in 2015. The firm concentrates on advising and representing professionals and state licensees on regulatory and ethics issues. From 2008 to 2015, Ringler worked in the Department of Law and Public Safety, first as a deputy attorney general prosecuting state licensees. A graduate of Oberlin College and Georgetown University Law School, she received a certification in health care compliance from Seton Hall University School of Law.
