Ladies: Something is just not right in the legal profession.

Most of us know that women comprise the majority of all law school graduates: 52.7 percent. Sadly, from that auspicious start, our career prospects dim and the picture becomes dreary. Nationwide, women represent a mere 18 percent of equity partners and 21.5 percent of all partners. We continue to earn less than our male counterparts, taking home on average a mere 83 percent of their salaries. (“A Current Glance at Women in the Law,” American Bar Association, Commission on Women in the Profession, May 2016.) Any of you feel you work 17 percent less than your gentlemen colleagues do?
