The in-house legal department at DSM North America’s Parsippany headquarters may be small, with only seven lawyers, but general counsel Hugh Welsh says the relatively small staff is more than capable of handling nearly all legal matters that may arise.
Indeed, the Netherlands-based materials and life sciences conglomerate employees only 54 lawyers worldwide, out of more than 20,000 total workers.
