After reading the New Jersey Law Journal’s recent recognition of women in the law (“Top Women in the Law,” special section, Nov. 14, 2016), I wanted to take the opportunity to highlight my own experiences as a woman attorney.
When I began law school in 1980 after having worked as a paralegal at a large New York City firm, I was surprised that my class was 50 percent women. I believed that the business of law was dominated by men, which had been substantiated at the law firm where I had worked.
