A Camden County jury in Worthy v. Broadhurst awarded $1.75 million on Oct. 6 to a Swedesboro man who suffered back injuries in a crash on Interstate 295.

John Worthy was driving north on the highway near Bellmawr on Jan. 13, 2012, when his vehicle allegedly was cut off by one driven by William Broadhurst. The collision caused Worthy to lose control of his vehicle, sending it into the guardrail and then into the side of Broadhurst’s vehicle, said plaintiff’s attorney Deborah Dunn of Stark & Stark in Lawrenceville.
