Jeralyn Lawrence, a partner of Bridgewater-based Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, and chair of its matrimonial and family law practice group, spoke at “Evidence for Family Lawyers: An easy-to-follow set of strategies that get results,” sponsored by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE) in cooperation with the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) Family Law Section and the NJSBA Senior Lawyers Special Committee. The symposium was held on March 11, 2017, at the Hyatt Morristown. Her talk covered topics such as laying foundations and introducing evidence involving emails and social media accounts, experts and their reports and opinions, police reports, hospital records, and other materials. Lawrence devotes her practice to matrimonial, divorce and family law, and collaborative law. She is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a matrimonial law attorney. A trained family/divorce mediator, she is admitted to the rosters of Mediators for Economic Aspects of Family Law Cases and of Custody and Parenting Time Cases for Somerset County. She is also certified by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers as a family law arbitrator and is a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. To complement her practice, Lawrence is involve in professional engagements outside the firm. She frequently serves as a speaker and panelist at divorce and family law programs and seminars. She serves as an attorney volunteer at the Resource Center for Women and Their Families in Somerset County. Lawrence earned her bachelor’s degree from Kean College and her law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law.
