For attorney Feng Li, the recent good news of being spared disbarment in New York in connection with a client fee fight was followed closely by bad news: A New Jersey appeals court declined to disturb a $1 million judgment against him, and said the issue of his owing the money is “simply no longer open for debate.”

Li, a Parsippany solo before his license was pulled four years ago, failed in his argument that New Jersey courts lacked jurisdiction over his case, which stems from a New York representation.
