Law firm merger activity remained high in the first quarter of 2017, but New Jersey firms sat out the action.

That’s one takeaway from a pair of recently issued reports. According to one, from Altman Weil Inc., there were 28 law firm combinations in the first quarter—with targets ranging in size from two lawyers to 300 lawyers—but no New Jersey-based firm was involved on either side of a tie-up.
