A.Y. Strauss in Roseland welcomes Lonnie Halpern and Aaron Messing, who have joined the firm as partners.
Halpern joins the firm’s commercial real estate practice, where he will represent clients in commercial real estate transactions, joint ventures and financings. Prior to joining the firm, Halpern served as vice president of BRT Realty Trust, a publicly-traded REIT focused on commercial bridge lending and joint-venture equity investing. He also founded CrowdMason, one of the first real estate crowd-funding companies. Halpern began his law career at Goodwin Procter and Hogan Lovells, both in New York City. Admitted to practice in New York and Massachusetts, he earned a J.D. from Boston College Law School and a B.A. from Cornell University.
