A Passaic County jury awarded a $3.7 million verdict on March 28 to a Dover electronics company in Electrospec Inc. v. New Jersey Micro-Electronic Testing Inc., a breach-of-contract and fraud suit.
Electrospec Inc., a maker of components for installation in Boeing aircraft, contracted with New Jersey Micro-Electronic Testing Inc. (NJMET) of Clifton to inspect and test approximately 20,000 components. NJMET reported that the parts passed inspection and testing, but many of them ultimately failed after they were shipped, the suit claimed.
