Top officials with NJ Transit and Amtrak on Friday told New Jersey legislators that aging infrastructure and tracks are largely to blame for recent derailments and delays at New York’s Penn Station.

Amtrak President and Chief Executive Officer Charles Moorman, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Scot Naparstek and NJ Transit Executive Director Steven Santoro testified before a joint meeting of the Senate Legislative Oversight Committee and the Assembly Judiciary Committee.
